Bluebonnetts!

Today I took Morgan to a patch of bluebonnets on my street and took a couple of photos of her. I love taking pictures of her in the bluebonnets. I look forward to this every year. One of the best things about living in the great state of Texas! Enjoy.

It's a Bugs Life!

Yesterday we drove up to the ranch and since it was such a beautiful day we decided to take full advantage of it. Morgan got a bug collector kit from Ninnie at Easter and Morgan could not wait to put it to good use. So we or should I say, I went around collecting every bug I could find. It's amazing what you can find under old logs and stepping stones. Sorry to say that Morgan left them in there to long and I think the only thing that survived was the June bug. I think they could survive a nuclear fall out! Anyway, we had lots of fun hunting and collecting. Can't wait to see what we find next time.

Getting Ready!

Everyone knows just how much I have been looking forward to our Disney vacation. This trip has been a year in the planning. I think I am more excited than Morgan. But because I am a complete nut, I thought that it would be so cute for us all to have matching shirts. I guess I didn't get enough of appliqueing at Halloween. So after 2 1/2 days of solid appliqueing this is what I came up with. Thought they turned out pretty cute. And to much of my surprise Stephen is going to wear one everyday as well. First it was just one, then he agreed to more. Thanks babe for being a team player. We love you!

This was an outfit I saw on eBay and I thought, "I can make that!" Well I did make it and I thought it turned out so cute. It is my favorite outfit.

Easter

Went to mom's today for her famous Easter celebration. We all had a great time and was so glad that Jessica came and celebrated it with us. Not only because it gave us some more time to spend with her, but was glad to give up my egg tossing position to her. Heck, she is the starting JV softball pitcher for her team. She has got to throw an egg better than me. It was a great celebration but I couldn't help to notice that something was missing. And then it hit me, Ruby. It was sad not to see her there. This was the first big family celebration we have had since she passed. It was hard to not see her sitting in her special chair and hear her talk to everyone. She was greatly missed. Morgan had a wonderful time until the Easter bunny showed up. She was then in a panic screaming and crying in Stephen's arms. Great! Um, miss! We are going to Disney in three week, get over it! Sure hope this is not what it is going to be like at Disney. Will see. Anyway, it was great to see family and friends that I had not seen in awhile and catch up on old times. Looking forward to next years clebration as always. Oh, one more thing, Phyllis you ROCK!! So excited to see someone win the egg toss other than my sister, although she and Morgan did win the kids egg toss. So proud of her. Another trophy to add to the shelf!
