Santa Time!

Although I put the Christmas tree up last weekend, we were not able to get it decorated until today. It was a big project thanks to my little helper. Morgan put the ornaments on the bottom half, while I put the rest on the top half. Stephen managed to supervise from the couch while watching a little football. Go figure! Anyway, we got the tree up and I think that it looks GREAT! Please ignore the big inflatable penguin next to the tree. I got it to go outside, but before I placed it outside I sat it up in the living room to make sure it worked and that was all she wrote. Morgan say it and then refused to let me put it outside on the porch. So now we have a big inflatable penguin in our living room. Thank goodness it is quite and that we don't use our front door much. Also excuse the big, fat, lazy, worthless cat under the tree. Callie has found a new place to rest for the next few weeks!

Here is the tree pre decorated.

The finished product. And no, it is not a real dog. It is Morgans stuff Christmas husky that mom got for her last year. Our Lacie would never be that still!

Fun at the lease!

Since it was a three day weekend for me, Morgan and me accompanied Stephen to the deer lease. Stephen did a little hunting and Morgan and me did a little shopping. Saturday morning we went on a small nature hick and Morgan found sparkly rock that she is pretty proud of. When on our walk I small what I called a slug on the road. I told her to watch out and not to step on the slug. She asked what it was and I said a worm. She then informed me that a slug is not a worm it is a snail. EXCUSE ME! I stand corrected by a 3 year old! She said he was a snail like Gary on Sponge bob. OK then. We even did a little shopping at Walmart because there is not much shopping to be had in Nacogdoches, Texas. Anyway, we had a fun time and it was fun to get out of town for a day or two. Now back to the real world tomorrow. Here's to another long week ahead.

It is amazing how much fun a girl can have with a spoon, a bowl and a little dirt!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Today while I was at work, doing my holiday time, Stephen and Morgan had some quality daddy and daughter time together. Boy, does she love her daddy. Stephen took this picture of her today. He said she wore this hat around the house most of the day. They spent Thanksgiving at my mom's house while I spent Thanksgiving with my second family, Baylor. Although I couldn't spend it with my family I couldn't have picked a better group of people to spend it with. I have so much to be thankful for. I feel that I am very blessed to have such a loving family and that everyone has their health. So Happy Thanksgiving to all! Now it is on to Santa time and Morgan puts it.

Back at the Ranch

This weekend we went to the ranch to have a little fun. Morgan got to help daddy feed the deer and the buffalo. She had a wonderful time seeing the deer and the baby buffalo, who by the way is not much of a baby any more. We did have a little bit of excitement when daddy got the ATV stuck in the mud and we had to walk about 2 miles to get the tractor to pull it out. Way to go dad! Other than that it was a fun weekend. Can't wait to see the deer next time we go. The babies are getting so big!
