Santa Came!

Santa came to our house last night. Morgan was so excited to see that Santa brought her a kitchen. She was so funny. All she could keep saying was, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Me and Stephen just laughed and laughed. I think the Christmas's are only going to get funner. Can't wait till next year.

After a long day of running from this place to the next and opening all those great presents Morgan fell asleep on the couch. What a day!

What a precious angel!

Christmas Eve!

Well today is Christmas Eve. Although I had to work today, it was really a nice day at work. It is not bad working the holidays when you work with such great people as I do. Stephen stayed home with Morgan and had Jessica come over. Tonight we all met at my mom's house and had Christmas. It was lots of fun. Jessica came as well. We were so glad that she did. We all had a really good time. Morgan got the first of her many presents.

Morgan got a tea set that her loved!

Pair of princess slippers from aunt Phyllis $10.00, Look of excitement on Morgan's face when she put them on, priceless!

Cookie Time!

Today while at the ranch, Morgan and me decided to make our Christmas cookies. She wore her cute little Christmas apron and chef hat that mom got her.

While at the ranch Morgan had a bonding experience with Buster. She feel in love with him because she has finally found an animal that she could carry around, unlike our huge fat cat at home.

I got this really cute picture of Morgan that I just love. Look at those big beautiful eyes.

Later after the cookies had cooled down, Morgan began the decorating process. I think Santa is really going to love these cookies! I know that grandpa did.

Morgan's personal touch!

Today while I was picking up around the house, I realized that I had not heard Morgan in a while. As I started looking for her, I found her in front of the Christmas tree rearranging the ornaments. I asked her what she was doing and she told me that she thought the ornament looked better lower on the tree. I told her she could do what ever she liked as long as she keep them on the tree! I think she did a great job.

Daddy, where are you?

Today while I was feeling a little under the weather, Morgan was playing with her daddy and decided to bury him under all her babies. It started with Stephen laying on the floor in front of the tv with one baby on his belly. Before he knew it, he was covered in babies. Morgan stood guard over her babies and would not let him get up. After a little persuasion, she finally let him up. What a crazy girl.

Home Sweet Home!

Today Morgan and me decided to build and decorate our ginger bread house. Well, I built it and she decorated it pretty much all by herself. She did an excellent job I must say. I did have to give her a lollipop in order for her not to eat all the decorating candy.
This is what it looked like before Morgan got her hands on it.

Morgan putting her personal touch on the ginger bread house.

The finished product. Not to bad for our first ginger bread house.

After cleaning up our mess we made with the ginger bread house, I got to looking for Morgan and found her and her big stuff dog hiding under the covers of our bed. I looked under the covers and she just laughed and laughed. She thought it was the funniest thing. Crazy girl!

If you only just believe!

Ok. Something happened today that I just have to share with you all. So far this holiday season Morgan has been really scared of Santa. I think it is just her being the typical two year old. Well, yesterday while at the Christmas tree farm with my family Morgan saw Lauren talking with Santa and him giving her a big hug. Then we had our family picture made with him and during that time Morgan was glued to me. His patiently talked to her and tried to win her love. Then he broke out the candy cane's and he soon became her new best friend. Well, today while shopping at Walmart, we went to the Christmas decor section and there Morgan saw one of those large plastic Santa figures that light up and you place in your yard. Well she just had to get out of the cart and go over to see him. Once she was there, she greeted him with a big hello and gave him a big hug and kiss. She told him bye-bye than ran to get back in the cart. I couldn't believe that just a few days ago she was scared to death of him. Every time she would see Santa, whether at the mall or just out shopping, she would grab my leg and scream "Mommy, he scare me, he scare me!" So do you think the secret is in those candy canes? If that is all it takes to get my crazy two year old to behave, I think I am going to by stock in some candy canes companies and stock up! Hugs to all.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

Today my family went to a Christmas tree farm in Canton, TX. The girls had a blast trying to pick out ninnie and pawpaw the perfect tree. They also had a blast riding the rides and sliding down the huge inflatable slide. I didn't think that I was ever going to get Morgan off that slide. Even with a little magic we were able to get a family picture with Santa. Thanks to Lauren for warming Morgan up to Santa. Though she wouldn't sit in his lap, once he handed her a candy cane he soon became her new best friend. Oh, the power of candy!

Many Blessings!

Well we have had many blessings over the past few days. My friend from work little baby girl, Lia, had her second heart surgery and things went really well. She is recovering nicely. Yeah Lia! You can read more about this precious baby girl by clicking my blog list "Lia Kate Stone". Another blessing that we had was that my sitter, Valerie, had her surgery yesterday and everything went well. She came home today and is doing well, sore but well. The doctor said things looked great. The tumor ended up being the size of a tennis ball! Here's to both of them a very speedy recovery. Isn't it amazing what the power of prayer can do. God is good!

The blanket is here!

Today me, Stephen and Morgan went and picked up Shelbie's grave blanket and took it out to the cemetery. So for all of you who enjoy placing an ornament on it each year, it is now ready to do so. Morgan really enjoys going to the cemetery and helping take care of Shelbie's little spot. She is getting so big. Everyday she teaches me something new. I am always amazed how she makes my heart grows more and more each and every day.

One the way to pick up Shelbie's blanket, Morgan was screaming for her sunglasses. Well, since we were in Stephen's truck, I did not have her sunglasses with me, so I handed her the only pair I could find which were a pair of Stephen's safety glasses. Next thing I know I turned around to check on her and she was sound asleep. I think OSHA would be very proud, don't you.

The Life of a Cat!

All I can say is I wish my life was as easy as my cats. While Stephen was at home getting things ready for his hunting trip this weekend, Callie, our crazy cat found her place on the couch next to Morgan's giant stuffed husky dog. Stephen said she laid there all day curled up next to that dog. I wish my life could be so easy and care free.

Where The Buffalo Roam

While I was at work Stephen ran up to the ranch to see his dad and to check out the new Buffalo that his dad got. There is a male and female. The male weights about 2000 lbs. Can't wait to take Morgan up to see them.

Up and away!

Well today I was cleaning up around my house when I ran across a helium tank that had a little bit of helium left in it so I used the rest of it to blow up Morgan a small bouquet of balloons. I have never seen a kid who loves balloons as much as she does. She carried those balloons around with her all day. It was the cutest thing. She even paused for a moment in front of the christmas tree to check it out when I snapped this really cute picture of her. Oh, to be young again.

One more down!

Finally got some pictures of Stephen's second buck he killed downloaded. He has killed three pretty good size bucks this season. I don't have any really good pictures of the third yet but will see what I can find on his camera. As Stephen always says, "If arrows are flying, something is dying."

I so pwetty!

Well it has been a crazy weekend. Stephen is off hunting so Morgan and me just hung out round the house and believe it or not started decorating for Christmas. Yes, we even put the tree up. That was a real chore with my little miss helper wanting to be right in the middle of it. Funny how all the really cute Disney ornaments are all at the bottom because that is where she wanted them to go. And of course we all know she's the boss! Well on Saturday while I was picking up around the house Morgan comes running into the living room all dressed up. She even managed to get her play jewelry on. She waves her magic wand yelling "Mommy, mommy, I so pwetty. " I just looked at her and gave her a big hug and told her she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen. She waved her wand at me and told me I was pwetty to. I needed much more than a magic wand considering it was Saturday morning around 9:30 and my hair had yet to see a brush. Wouldn't it be nice if the whole world could see us as our children do, beautiful no matter what! I have also included some pictures of Shelbie's tree out in front of our house. It just changed colors over the weekend and this year it is more beautiful than ever. When you are driving up the drive way it is as if it where glowing orange, almost like it is on fire. Well in case I don't have time to post again before turkey day, may all you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Another Year Older!

Well Stephen turned to big 36 on Monday! We went out to dinner with Jessica and and his dad. We had a really good time. It was great to see Jessica. She really is growing up. She is headed to Seattle for a big band concert. Her middle school was the only one in the entire nation that got invited. She also has a clarinet solo. She really is excited about it, and so are we. Great job Jessica! Morgan had fun climbing on the rocks outside the resturant. On Tuesday we went to Cabela's in Fort Worth. Morgan had a blast checking out all the different animals, especially the big elephant. She also had a blast feeding the fish. We had to carry her out kicking and screaming because she wanted to feed them more. That is about it on the home front. Oh, my best friend from high school, Jennifer found out the she is having a girl and she is thinking about naming her Lauren Grace. I thought that was really neat since my nieces name is Lauren and Morgan's middle name is Grace! Please keep my sitter in your prayers. She is having her surgery on Dec 5th.

Where a kid can be a kid!

Well after working for the past three days, Morgan and me decided to have a little fun today. First we went to Rembrandt Florist over at Restland Cemetery to order Shelbie's grave blanket for christmas. Once we ordered it we drove around for a moment. I think it is such a beautiful cemetery. It is so peaceful driving through it with all it's beautiful trees and statues. As we were driving we saw the most amazing thing. All I saw was something dash in front of my car. I stopped and looked and to my surprise it was a coyote chasing a squirell! He was huge. I see coyote's all the time running near our house, but this was different. It was so funny to see these two animals playing with each other, and in the middle of the city! I grabbed my camera and took a picture of him real quick. So after our little wildlife adventure we headed to Chuck E Cheese, the place where a kid can be a kid! It was fun to just get out of the house and spend time with Morgan doing silly things. We played all the games and road the rides. We even walked away with four bracelets and a ring, which she got by cashing in her tickets. So to say the least it was a fun day and now it's back to the grid again tomorrow.

Will hunt for food!

I forgot to post Stephen's first buck of the 2008 season. He killed this buck last week on his good friend David's ranch. Not to bad!

The joy of dry ease markers!

Morgan used her dry ease markers for the first time this past weekend and all Ihave to save is thank God for Spray n Wash!

My first posting!

Well this is the first posting on our new blog. I am so excited about sharing our every busy lives with all our friends and family. Well since not much has happened since Halloween I will start there. Mom once again out did herself again this year. She made Morgan and Lauren's, my niece, Halloween costumes. Morgan went as Minnie Mouse and Lauren as a bumble bee. I think she did an excellent job and the girls loved them. Thanks again mom and great job! The girls had a wonderful time trick or treating together. Morgan is not a candy eater so that left lots of treats for mommy and daddy. Yeah! Got to love Halloween.
