Cupcake Anyone?

Since Morgan missed her Valentine's Day party at the sitters on Friday, we decided to make cupcakes tonight for her to take tomorrow. She sure is a great little helper. I think she could have made them by herself. She is a pro at making blueberry muffins so it wasn't surprising that she would be good at cupcakes as well. I sure hope that she is a better cook than me. If it doesn't come out of a box or can then it doesn't get cooked at my house. So here's to many more cupcakes in the future.

Morgans finished cupcakes. I did the frosting but she did the sprinkles and hearts.

While waiting for the cupcakes to bake Morgan played with one of her Valentines Day gifts from mom. It was some little capsules that expanded to animals.

Now we have a collections of sponge animals. Think next times we get out the finger paints we will use these to make animal prints.

Strawberries or No Strawberries?

While shopping at Target a few weeks ago we bought a couple of little flowers pots that come with flowers and strawberries that you could grow. Over the weekend the flowers popped up but we have had no sucess with the strawberries. We are not giving up. Hoping they just need a little more time. Will see. Come on strawberries. You can do it!

Winter Wonderland!

In the 37 years that I have lived in Texas I have NEVER seen anything as beautiful as what I saw this morning when I woke up. We went to bed last night and it was still snowing so this morning when I woke up I could not believe my eyes. I have never seen so much snow in my entire life here in Texas. We had almost ten inches of fresh snow. It was amazing! Everything was white. You couldn't see the dead tree and grass. Just beautiful snow everywhere. It was like I was in Colorado. Thank you Lord for this beautiful day!
This is our pond in front of our house.

9 1/2 inches! Amazing!

Our drive way.

All the snow we got during the night was just to much for our snow man. This is all that remains of him this morning!

This is a tree next to our house. Beautiful!

This is Lacy's dog pin. The snow came up to the bottom of her chest. It was really funny trying to see her go to the bathroom. She was not enjoying all the snow at all.

Lady enjoyed eating all the fresh snow.

What the heck is this? Snow?

This morning I woke up and the list of things that I needed to get done today were running through my mind. So I got up and started my day. I turned on the cartoons for Morgan and then got her some warm milk and sat down in my big chair to finish waking up. I just happened to peek out the window and almost fell out of the chair. I could not believe my eyes. There was snow everywhere! And not just a little bit but inches. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I knew they said we might see some snow, but this was SNOW and LOTS of it! I think I was more excited about it than Morgan. So we immediately got dressed in our winter best and headed outside to a good old fashion snowball fight and make a snowman. It was great! Even the dogs seemed to be amazed about all the cold white stuff. I know it will not last long so we will have to enjoy it while we can. Thanks mother nature, I owe you one!

I took a ruler outside to measure the snow and we got almost 5 inches. Crazy!

Lacy is not sure what she thinks about the snow. I think she would rather go back inside.

Nothing like making a good old snowman. Daddy would be proud of the camo hat!

When Stephen got home today from the ranch, we all went out and had a snowball fight. Morgan won of course!
