Happy 3rd Birthday Morgan!

To celebrate Morgan turning 3 we all went and spent the night at The Great Wolf Lodge and the went to dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe. We had a wonderful time. I was wondering how Morgan was going to do on the water slides at the Lodge but she did great. She is a natural. To say the least we will definitely be returning again. I highly recommend anyone with children to check it out. It is well worth the money. Morgan also had a blast at the Rain Forest Cafe. I think she liked the Little Mermaid cupcake cake the best. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl. I can't believe you are turning 3. Where does the time go?

Morgan wanted this Dora doll that you play in the bath tub with. Once she unwrapped it and saw what it was she went nuts. She loved it!

OK. Call me crazy, but I had to get Morgan a cake to take to the sitters so all her friends could celebrate with her. She picked out this Spongebob cupcake cake. Should have figured. The girl is nuts for Spongebob. I thought it turned out really cute. The kids really enjoyed it.

Dogs Gone Crazy!

This morning I was awoken by my dogs barking like crazy. I went to my front window and looked outside to see a coyote in my front yard playing with my dogs. It was the funniest thing. I didn't know if I should scare it off, or get my camera. So, I watched it for a moment and saw that it was not going to hurt my dogs. It just wanted to play. It started running the fence line and pestered my husky, Lacy. They just ran up and down the fence line for about 5 minutes. Then it picked up a stick and started tossing it up in the air and playing with it. It was really amazing to see this wild animal just acting like one of my dogs. After about 15 minutes of watching them play I stepped outside on my patio to see what it would do if it saw me. Well, I don't know if it my my crazy morning hair or just my presence all together, but it ran off. Maybe one day it will return to have more fun.

Happy 1st Birthday Lia!

This evening Morgan and me went to a birthday party for my dear friend, Lisa's, little girl Lia. Many of you may remember me talking about her when she was born. Lia is the little girl that had to have two major heart surgeries during her first 6 months of life. She is doing great. She is a vibrant little girl. Morgan had a blast getting to see Oliver and meeting his big brother Clayton. I had a great time seeing their mom, Erica. She is another dear friend of mine from work who has been out on maternity leave. I can't believe just how big her little one, Elliot, has gotten. The kids had a great time playing on the big inflatable slip-n-slide. I almost wish I could have had a slip or two. Looked like lots of fun. Anyway, we had a great time and it was great visiting with friends. We love you Lia! Happy Birthday big girl!

Here Little Duckies!

While at ninnie camp, mom took the girls to the Royse City park to feed the ducks. Well, this morning I found two full loaves of bread that I had not used and I thought that we could take it to the park and feed the ducks. What an adventure. I had one that kept poking me in the bottom until I would give him a piece.Talk about annoying! Thank goodness I have plenty of cushion back there. Those crazy things went nuts when they saw us coming with bread. I thought that Morgan would get scared because they were on us within seconds. But she was eating it up. She loved them. She even held one. She's my little animal lover. Mother like daughter I guess. I think we have found a new place for all our unused bread.

Gone to Soon.

I can remember it like it was yesterday. Me, my best friends Jennifer and Nicole and my cousin Marie would all be at the skating rink on a Friday night. Then, all of a sudden, the lights would go out. A big projection screen would come down at the end of the rink. We would all take off running to the floor to get a set close to the screen and then it would come on. I can hear the music now. It was the Micheal Jackson's "Thriller" video. I can remember us all sitting there with our eyes glued to the screen as we watched Micheal dance and do his magic. It was like nothing we had ever seen before. It was by far, the coolest thing that we had ever seen. It was back in the day when MTV really played music video's. It was my youth. It was seeing Micheal sing and dance like no other person could. I can remember my boyfriend in 6th grade, Chris Prince, and how he got an actual real red leather, not pleather, jacket like Micheal Jackson had. I can remember how one day, he let me wear it all day at school and how I felt like I was the coolest kid there because NO ONE else had that jacket. Hell, no one could afford it. I can remember listening to my sisters Thriller album on her stereo, which was a radio, record player, and 8 tracker player all in one. Oh, how we would sing and dance and only wishing we could be a fraction as good of dancer as Micheal. I can remember tearing his pictures out of "Teen Beat" magazine and hanging them on my wall. So when I think about Micheal Jackson, that's what I think about. I think of all the good times in my life that he gave me. Not all that crap you hear or read about in the media. I really couldn't care what others have to say about him, the boy could sing and dance like no other. He was and always will be"The King of Pop" in my book. So today I say thank you Micheal. Thank you for all the beautiful music you gave us and all the wonderful memories I have because of you. May you now, finally get to rest in peace.

Ninne Camp 2009!

Since my sitter is on vacation this week, my mom decided to take a week of vacation and hold "ninnie camp 2009". Today, day two of ninne camp, we decided to take the girls to the Fort Worth Zoo. We had lots of fun and believe it or not, the weather was not that bad. It was pretty hot at times but for the most part it was bearable. The high today was only 92. Not to bad for July in Texas. Morgan and Lauren had a wonderful and so did me and mom.

Happy 4th of July!

Lately things have been so crazy up at work that I have been working 4 to 5 12 hour shifts per week. I decided that I needed a little break, so this week I only worked my 3 shifts and we headed up to the ranch to have a little fun for the long July 4th weekend. On Friday morning, Stephen, Morgan and me decided to take a ride to the deer pins and check out the deer and get a look at the baby deer that had been born last week. Once we were in the pin we noticed a tiny little deer trying to crawl through the fence. Stephen walked down the fence line to try and get him to stop and pull him back through the fence. When he did, he notice it was a brand new baby deer. It was so little. You could see the umbilical cord was still moist so we knew it had just been born that night. Then the impossible happened. Stephen had to tag the deer and guess who was going to have to help, me. Now, all those who know me, know that I could never hurt an animal let alone hunt one. (How I ended up married to the biggest deer hunter I will never know. The things you put up with for love?) Anyway, Stephen sat the deer back down and went back to the mule (that's an ATV mule not and actual animal) and got his ear tagging kit. In the mean time, Morgan and I kept an eye on the little deer. Once he returned he picked up the deer and placed it in a special bag and I held the baby while he tagged his ear. It was HORRIBLE! It cried out one loud cry and that was it. It still broke my heart that I had to hold it while Stephen tagged it. Next, we let Morgan hold it while it was still in the bag so she could hold onto it better. It was so cute. It was a picture perfect moment but wait, where the heck was my camera? Oh, up at the house on the bar. I totally forgot to bring it down to the pins. It was a picture of a life time and I didn't have my camera. I was SOOOO mad at myself for forgetting it. It was a moment that I will treasure forever. Once we placed the deer back down, Stephen started searching the pin for more possible babies. I turned around to find that the little deer was following me. I stopped and he walked up to me, smelt my leg and gave me two small licks on my leg. I wanted to pick him up and take him home with me. He was so cute. I told him to go lay down before his momma got mad at me. It was really amazing and I can't wait to see how many more we get. So far he makes number 4! One thing is for sure, I will remember to bring my stupid camera!

Here is a picture of the baby deer that Morgan held. I remembered my camera the second trip to the pins.

Tiny Tokens of Love

Today on the way in from worked I stopped to get the mail and to my surprise, the necklace that I ordered had arrived. My dear friend Erica got this most adorable necklace for her birthday and I just had to have one. I think that it is to cute. If anyone would like one you can find her stuff at www.cinnamonsticksboutigue.blogspot.com. Her name is Canela and she is the sweetest lady and will really work with you to make sure your piece is perfect. I couldn't be more pleased with mine!

I had a butterfly stamped on Shelbie's charm because everyone knows how symbolic a butterfly is to me when it comes to Shelbie.
Necklace with my beautiful girls name on it $30.00. Wearing them both next to my heart, priceless!
